Non Slip Rug Pad
Rug pads are a great idea for any rug in the home because they will help the rug last much longer and give the rug a bit of padding which makes it more comfortable to walk on.
One of the issues though is if the run continues to creep along the floor never staying in place. A pad can certainly help but sometimes it’s just not enough.
A non slip rug pad is the solution to this problem without have to resort to drastic measures like tape, tacks, glue, and velcro.
A non slip rug pad should hold itself in place more or less on carpets and on hardwood and tiles floors where rugs very easily slip in most cases.
You have a few choices to make when looking for this type of pad.
The pad can be thick so give the extra bit of comfort and support you might want in that part of the home.
The pad also can be extremely thin. The rug might already be a bit higher than normal or you might want to avoid having a rug that is too high. These pads won’t make a difference at all in the rug’s height.
Be sure to get a pad that’s slightly smaller than the size of the rug. This is important because it will keep the rug centered on the pad much easier. Some pads are easily cut so you may be able to avoid this.
