Nikwax Rug Proof Water Repellent
Nikwax rug proof water repellent is specifically made for horse blankets, tarps, canvases, and other carpets that might come in contact with the weather.
This product adds a bit of a weather proofing and breathability to these materials. This is important so that the rug or blanket doesn’t grow molds and mildews or smell as bad.
This will help make all the material that this is placed on to last quite a bit longer and can be used in wet weather without worrying about these consequences.
It’s also environmentally friendly so if some of it does get washed off there is no need to seriously worry about it.
You can apply the product by hand or put it on while it’s in the washing machine. Some tarps and blankets might be a little large for the washing machine though.
What makes this product unique compared to others like it is that it does not require a heat source for the water repellent to work. Generally it’s cold when it rains so this is ideal.
