Kitchen Area Rugs

Most people have some sort of hardwood floors or tile in the kitchen. While this is nice sometimes it can end up looking a little bland. Adding a kitchen area rug definitely can change the look of the kitchen.

Uses for kitchen area rugs:

Put all small rug by the sink. This will more or less catch any water that is spilled or comes off hands keeping the rest of the floor much more dry.

Keep a small rug near any entry ways like the garage or back door that might be connected to the kitchen area.

Put a rug in the middle of the kitchen floor to help prevent scratches and wear on the floor especially if a well traveled part of the house.

Use a rug to add a bit of color to the kitchen. The walls, flooring, and cabinets might all be a similar color and a rug can change the tone of that room.

Use a rug under the kitchen table and chairs to protect the flooring as well as make it easier for the chairs to slide and move properly.

Kitchen area rugs will be found in the same braids, textures, weaves, colors, and styles as rugs for the other parts of the home. Generally speaking keep a more expensive rug out of a the traveled or potentially wet paths.
