How To Keep Area Rugs From Lifting At The Corners
Sometimes when you have a rug in the hallway or other parts of the house you might notice that the corners seem to gradually lift up and bend towards the ceiling.
The reason that this happens is because of foot traffic over the rug. Each time someone walks across the rug the rug bends a little bit more
There are a couple solutions to this problem
Velcro - If the rug is fairly cheap, you can just velcro the corners to the floor. This will help most of the problem.
Double sided tape - This is another solution for cheaper rugs. This will leave a residue when taken off so don’t put it on anything too expensive.
Rug pad - Before the rug corners start to bend, get a rug pad underneath. This will prevent the rug from moving across the floor and help with the corners.
If you currently have rug corners lifting up, just turn the rug over for while to help bend them back properly. You can even use some books to weigh it down.
